As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing a dynamic team of 5 to 20 employees, ensuring efficient daily operations, maintaining high productivity, and fostering a positive, organized workplace. This role requires strong leadership, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to inspire and manage a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Team Management:
- Arrive early to gather updates from the previous shift and set the tone for the day.
- Lead a start-up meeting at the beginning of each shift to provide updates, delegate tasks, and remind the team of critical objectives and procedures.
- Actively engage with your team on the floor, offering guidance, support, and troubleshooting any issues.
- Ensure continuous on-the-job training for new hires, monitoring their progress and providing regular feedback.
- Lead by example in all aspects of work, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Performance Monitoring & Productivity:
- Track team productivity and intervene when performance lags, using data-driven insights to improve outcomes.
- Conduct daily one-on-one meetings with team members to discuss performance, provide feedback, and support personal development.
- Utilize strong Excel skills to maintain detailed records of performance metrics and shipment tracking.
- Process Improvement & Operational Efficiency:
- Proactively identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance workflow.
- Monitor the status of incoming and outgoing goods to ensure seamless warehouse operations and avoid delays.
- Enforce 5S principles, ensuring the workplace remains organized, clean, and optimized for efficiency.
- Communication & Motivation:
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with your team, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Motivate your team by recognizing achievements, offering constructive feedback, and fostering a supportive environment.
- Conduct end-of-shift meetings to review performance, address challenges, and plan for continuous improvement.
