Magnum Staffing is seeking applicants for Painter. Pay rate starts at $21
Responsible for the application of paint and other coatings using conventional/ electrostatic paint guns and other Industrial-type paint application devices on JLG products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Prime, paint, and touch-up equipment with conventional/ electrostatic spray equipment.
- Paint efficiently using a pressure pot equipment.
- Mask, unmask, or adjust masking as necessary to ensure specifications are met.
- Sand, wash, and parts as necessary.
- Disassemble, clean, repair, and adjust painting equipment, and spray guns for proper operation.
- Flush tanks, hoses, and guns prior to color changeovers.
- Mix 2 2-component paints for proper color, formula, conditions, viscosity, and consistency.
- Apply decals, stencils,
- Upkeep of work area and equipment which may include preventative maintenance tasks.
- Inspect the product before, during, and after the paint process to ensure specifications are being met.
- Transport, move or guide parts, sub-assemblies, or assemblies before, during, or after the paint process and to the next operation.
- This may include moving racks or carts by hand and the use of material handling equipment such as a forklift or overhead crane.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
- Able to read and understand product Data Sheets and mix paints to manufacture specifications.
- Ability to learn electrostatic spray painting.
- Experience with body fillers.
- Experience with polyurethanes.
- Aspects of this position include sandblasting with steal grit (reclaim blast booth)
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 6 plus months of painting experience in automotive or heavy vehicle/equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, or automotive body shop.
- Should be able to do assigned work with a minimum amount of direction. Ability to troubleshoot and correct issues as directed.
- Strong mathematical skills.
- Basic mechanical aptitude
