Packaging Machine Operator Jobs in Houston

Magnum Staffing is seeking applicants for Packaging Machine Operator . Pay rate starts at $22

Responsibilities:

Set up the packaging machines assigned to run the lines according to the schedule.
Verify legibility of date code, proper positioning and meet the requirements of the customer as well as Gulf Rice Milling’s Quality standards.
Check the seal integrity on packages to ensure there are no leaks and the seal strength is adequate.
Verify bags are properly centered in line with the graphics on the bags.
Perform size changeovers as needed per production demand with minimum down time.
Adjust the weights of the product to achieve the stated net weight minimizing over or under weight product.
Perform basic mechanical adjustments or repairs as needed.
Keep Production Supervisor informed of any issues that needs assistance from Maintenance
Document machine down time, film shrinkage and other metrics as outlined.
Coordinate with Quality team on isolating products that do not meet quality standards.
Maintain all tools and equipment in a sanitary condition.
Report parts usage and any shortages of equipment components to Production Supervisor.
Performs other duties as requested by management.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 3 years as a packaging machine operator.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Solid understanding of form, fill and seal packaging machines.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet or exceed production goals.
