Magnum Staffing is seeking applicants for Band Saw Operator . Pay rate starts at $24
Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position is to operate the band saw in a safe and efficient manner.
Responsibilities:
- Operation of Band Saw, Punch Press & Overhead Crane
- Read blueprints, mark material for cutting as required
- Maintain and monitor steel inventory
- Load and unload inventory and stack per safety requirements
- Keeping equipment maintained / Communicating needs with shop foreman or operations
- Keeping work area clean and organized
- Ensuring work orders get to the proper location once cut
- Complete projects as requested and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand Blueprints/CAD drawings
- Forklift and Overhead crane experience
- Ability to nest material efficiently while cutting to reduce waste
- 5 years' experience operating band-saw and in fabrication environment
- Experience with metal bar grating preferred but not required
